I am writing to express my gratitude for your generous $5000.00 Women's Fund of the Capital Region Scholarship. I was thrilled and appreciative to learn that I was selected as the recipient of your scholarship.

I am double majoring in Nanoscale Science and Engineering and Computer Science at SCCC.

I plan to pursue a career in Biomedical Research with application of nanotechnology that is giving a rise to a new area known as Nanomedicine. I plan to graduate in Spring 2019 and pursue Bachelor’s Degree in Nanoscale Materials Engineering and Computer Science. I dream of becoming a member of a scientific community that is involved in breakthrough research and development of treatments for cancer and genetic diseases.

I would like to tell you what this scholarship means to me.

This scholarship gives me a precious piece of mind.

This scholarship gifts me an opportunity to pursue my dreams.

This scholarship gives me strength to keep swimming (per Dory’s advice from my beloved movie Finding Nemo).

This scholarship cheers me on.

This scholarship is a backbone upon which I plan to build my future.

The Women's Fund of the Capital Region Scholarship will lighten my financial burden which would allow me to allocate my time and resources into my academic success.
