    Save them from bullying.

The Women’s Fund presented best-selling author Rachel Simmons, nationally-recognized expert on bullying among girls.

Bullying among girls hurts today and impacts tomorrow. That is why The Women’s Fund brought to the Capital Region Rachel Simmons, New York Times bestselling author of Odd Girl Out: The Hidden Culture of Aggression in Girls (2003) and the new The Curse of the Good Girl.

Now Is Not the Time to Retreat
The Glen Sanders Mansion, Scotia, NY

The 260 people who attended this Key4Women Forum learned why “Now Is Not the Time to Retreat” from either your business or personal financial life. They were motivated and inspired by Nadja Piatka’s amazing story of taking a company out of her kitchen and creating a multimillion dollar food company. Nadja made her dream come true. Armed only with an idea and a $100 investment, she became an international supplier to Subway, McDonald's, Giant, Wegmans and other nutrition-conscious customers.

Tour includes visit to Equinox, a Women's Fund-supported shelter

New York First Lady Michelle Paige Paterson recently toured the Equinox Domestic Violence Shelter in Albany, highlighting the need for such programs — including those funded by The Women's Fund — to break the cycle of abuse in families.

    May, 2009

Thank you to everyone who contributed toiletries to the Fresh Start Project as part of the Third Annual Trailblazers Luncheon in May. Altogether five large boxes of supplies were collected, which were delivered to a domestic violence shelter in each of the five counties served by The Women’s Fund.
