The Women's Fund of the Capital Region was the charity partner of KeyBank at the Key4Women 2015 Forum. KeyCorp Chairman and CEO Beth Mooney shared the lessons she learned as she built her career to become the first woman CEO of a top 20 U.S. bank.

Here are some items from her speech:

  • Beth advised her listeners to think of their eventual legacy when they start a new job.
  • She shared something she learned at Harvard's class for new CEOs: If you don't like change, you're going to hate extinction.
  • She informed her listeners that women-owned businesses are the fastest growing segment of the economy.

At this morning event, KeyBank Market President and Women's Fund Trailblazer Ruth Mahoney (on the right) presented a check for $5,000 to Co-chairs Paula Marshman and Tricia Tauss in recognition of the positive impact The Women's Fund is having on the lives of women in the Capital Region.
